Marian L. MacDonald, Ph.D.: Prof. MacDonald is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Clinical Fellow of the American Psychological Association. She has taught Therapists-in-Training for some 40 years, at the Universities of Illinois, SUNY Stony Brook, Hawaii, Connecticut, and Masachusetts, and at the Smith College School for Social Work. Co-author of two texts and more than 50 published articles, she remains passionate about the imperative to ground clinical theory in empirical research and the importance of striving for excellence in clinical practice.
